Drew moved, hearing the shot, he placed himself between Jen and Damien encase his brother decided to make a head shot. Now he was pissed. He knew Jen hadn't been shot so it would kill her, but she needed a hospital.
"Jen just do it", he snapped, now not wanting to take no for an answer, "You're both injured, please, I can't watch either of you get hurt". Then the lights went out. Even if Damien was a vampire, and could see in the dark, this was perfect. For as the lights went out...the dark suprised Damien enough for Dale to take over. Dale who was the sort who threw in sneering remarks but wouldn't get involved in stupid things.
Now Dale took charge, he glanced at the gun he was holding in stunned fascination, then hearing the sirens he made a run for it. The other robbers weren't so fast to react, and by that time it was too late. Panicking, people were in threat of being hurt or taken hostage as Drew moved over to Jen.
"You okay? Look...ever tried jumping three people?". Maybe if he went with them, she'd be more encouraged to leave. The police were involved, so there was little more they could do.

Her head was pounding. Everything was muffled but loud. It wasn't making any sense and the more she tried to think the more disorienting it all became. Slowly her eyes fluttered open, but it didn't help. Everything was blurry and dark. There was definite movement, through the blurriness she could see that but Kayla couldn't pick her head off of the ground. She tried once but the wave of dizziness that hit her was too much. There was something sticky on her face...her hand went to the bleeding cut... eyes beginning to droop again. Even in all the confusion Kayla knew that she couldn't fall asleep. The last thing she remembered was Jen hitting the guy that had a gun to her head. Which meant she had lost time, a sign of a concussion. Falling back to unconsciousness would be the worst thing she could do because there could be the chance of never waking up again. There were voices near her, voices she recognized but the muffling of them from the pounding in her head, the blurriness of their faces didn't help. "...Darren?" she was able to get out softly.
